We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Buyer to join our Procurement team in Belgium, reporting directly to the Head of Procurement.
🔍 Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies for key commodities.
Negotiate commercial terms (pricing, currency, lead-times, payment terms) to optimise total cost of ownership.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle.
Analyse market trends to secure optimal conditions.
Continuously seek cost optimisation opportunities.
Source and validate new suppliers globally, including audits and certification reviews.
Mitigate supply risks through robust contingency planning.
Monitor market developments and product launches.
Ensure vendor performance meets expectations (OTIF, quality, service).
Lead issue resolution and implement corrective actions.
Respond to ad-hoc business unit needs.
